A Charming 19th Century Watermill. |
Nestled in the peaceful valley of Hawkcombe, a short distance from the sea
lies this beautifully restored working watermill. Surrounded by the beauty of
Exmoor National Park makes this an ideal setting for your holiday.
Originally a corn-mill, then in later years the watermill supplied the village
of Porlock with electricity. Now lovingly restored, it has been
luxuriously furnished with antiques and sumptuous soft furnishings.
Sitting in just under half an acre, you can choose to relax with a cream tea on
the patio beside the waterfall, a glass of wine on the balcony above the waterwheel
or even get lost in a good book on the sundeck alongside the leat.
A short stroll into Porlock village, you will find restaurants, quaint country pubs,
Antique shops and Picture galleries.
